Route M 09 – Hawold Bridle road and Oxlands Dale east of Huggate
This walk is mainly flat on good paths, but more than 6 miles long so it is likely to take a group about 3¼ hours. In good weather, there are extensive distant views from exposed paths on top of the Wolds before eventually descending into characteristic Wolds valleys. There are often sheep in one of the valleys.
Car parking is on a concrete lay-by beside the road from Huggate to Warter (OS Explorer map 294, Market Weighton & Yorkshire Wolds Central, reference SE 877545).
